A Little Bit About Me...

It's hard to believe this is my 20th year of teaching!  I've spent the last 19 years here at Frog Pond teaching 6th Grade reading and writing and social studies, and I taught one year at Tuckerton Elementary School.

 

Educational Background:  I'm a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a dual degree in Teacher Education and Literature. I became a freelance writer for several newspapers and magazines for two years before taking a job as a copywriter for a communication/marketing company.  After a couple of years, I decided that I wanted to take my writing skills and knowledge into the classroom and teach.

 

Family: I am the 10th of 11 children.  I have one daughter named Erica who is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, a wonderful husband, Jamie, and a Golden Retriever named Beau

 

Hobbies/Interests:  My husband and I fish competitively.  We love to boat, fish, crab, or just cruise the bay.  I enjoy walking my dog, traveling to Ocean City Maryland, eating chocolate, cooking, and reading historical fiction and poetry.
