Writing class will focus on skills being taught using the Core Content Writing Standards. Examples of these skills are: narrative writing, research skills, writing to support claims, spelling correctly, and using technology to strengthen writing. Students will also keep a writing journal and will have vocabulary, grammar, and short writing assignments and quizzes. Longer, formal writing units will include a narrative, informative, argumentative and a research piece.
